·       The organisation it is "the collective voice of the Muslim world" and works to "safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony" with 57 members which comprises of the members states (green), observer states dark blue) and suspended states (red) and the headquarters is in Jedda, Saudi Arabia. ·       The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation founded in 1969 has 57 members, 56 of which are also member states of the United Nations with 47 countries being Muslim majority countries i.e they have permanent delegations to the United Nations and the European Union. ·       Their main Purpose and motive is to safeguard and protects the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony among various people of the world.
